Your listing's photos are often the first thing buyers see. Nine steps to get the home ready before we arrive.

1. 01Lights on, blinds openTurn on every light, lamps included, and open all the curtains and blinds.
   
2. 02TVs and fans offSwitch off TVs and ceiling fans. Put portable fans and heaters out of sight.
   
3. 03DeclutterLess is better. Put small things away in closets or the garage, and clear the kitchen and bathroom counters.
   
4. 04Personal items awayPut away family photos, documents and anything with a name or address on it.
   
5. 05Furniture and bedsStraighten and organize the furniture, and make every bed.
   
6. 06BathroomsClose the toilet lids, and take everything out of the bathtub and shower.
   
7. 07Clear drivewayMove cars and trash cans off the driveway so the front of the home is in clear view.
   
8. 08Backyard and patioPut away hoses, garbage and anything else left out.
   
9. 09Every area openMake sure every area can be reached on the day: rooms, garage, gates and yard.
